Yes, it is almost Mother's Day but no, this post wasn't written for that reason, although it is convenient for me :)
My bridal shower was this past weekend (more to come on that later) and it was FABULOUS, AMAZING and FANTASTIC! My Mom, Man of Honor (my male maid of honor!) did a great job with everything...even if my man of honor was 30 minutes late because he ran a race that morning. I was so surprised and feeling so blessed with it all.
Now let tell you about my mother....
She is a fighter for her kids...She will make sure that no one harms her children in any way ever.
She is always willing to listen to random ramblings about inconsequential things at whatever hour of the day it might be.
She will jump in feet first with whatever adventure we find ourselves in, including picking up stray dogs and stopping to help another person who needs it.
She encourages us to be everything we can be and isn't afraid to tell us that we are slacking (which sometimes we need even if we don't like it).
She will drive hours in one day to take her children to various events they are part of, even if it means she gets no weekend at all.
She knows exactly what is bothering me over the phone even if the only word I have said is "Hello".
She is the Mom I want to be when I "grow up" and have kids of my own.
Love You Mom! So glad you are my Mom!
